Hi!!
Just wanna know somethng

Both Casoni test and tuberculin test are hypersensitivity tests.
We inject 0.2 ml the antigen in the first and wait 30mins there's a large wheal 5cm or more with multiple pseudopodia...+ve
In the second, we inject 0.1 ml PPD intradermally again and within 48-72 hours we get an induration of 10cm or more surrounded by a zone of erythma...+ve

My quest is that y there is this difference in time, size and the lesion formed?

Can anyone please explain the basis ot these hypersensitivity reaction and these differences please?
