There are a lot of courses available in UK. However, I think before your real PACES, you should sit for 1 mock exam to have the feeling. Anyway, there are a lot free sites for those who are preparing for PACES, check this out

I have not worked for about 2 years as I would like to spend quality and quantity time with my daugther as dont believe in young kids being brought up by nursery nurse 10 hours a day is good for their development . But I didnt want to give up and decided sit for PACES since I have already passed Part 2 Written, so why not go all the way . I will be starting my GP rotation soon, and thought it would be nice to be a GP with MRCP .

I sat for PACES in May 2008 , apparently I was one of the last few candidates to sit for the exam this diet.

Today I am extremely SHOCKED and of course delighted that I have passed. I have NEVER once attended bedside teaching apart from those I had during the course I had been to. Its important to go round and see lots patients with your colleague ( which I wish I could) but you can also pass without.

This is how I prepared for the exam:

I used Aid to the MRCP Paces: Volume 1 and 2
Thin book by Stephen Hoole
Attended PACES course in Newport and Cardiff Paces in January/Feb
Practised on my husband and daughter's Baxter the Teddybear
Believe in one true God and associate nothing with Him, be kind to everyone and have trust in yourself

Hope this is helpful. All the best
