Applications are invited for WHO-IVR, Geneva funded project “Genotyping of Measles virus strains circulating in various parts of India ” non-institutional posts, purely on temporary basis initially for one year at National Institute of Virology, Pune.

Research Scientist - I (Medical): One Post

Qualifications: M.D. / Postgraduate diploma in Community Medicine / Medicine / PSM / Microbiology / Pediatrics.

Desirable: The candidates should have experience in Epidemiological studies / outbreak investigations in the field data analysis, computer skills, report writing. Laboratory experience especially serology and molecular techniques would be added advantage.

Age: Below 40 Years

Consolidated salary: Rs.16100/- p.m. as per rules.

Note: GATE Qualifiers are not eligible for Associateship under ICMR

Age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per GOI rules. The appointments will be purely on temporary basis and the appointee will not have any claim on a regular post either in the Institute or in any dept. of GOI.
