Scope of respiratory medicine
What is the scope of respiratory medicine? Why don't people choose this over general medicine? Can DM cardiology be done after this?

UNANSWERED: PGI Surgery or drop a year ?

Yes cardiology can be done after respiratory medicine.

Respiratory Medicine has very good scope. It can be an end branch for many instead of doing General medicine and then DM. If you are interested in doing further studies as mentioned above you can do DM Cardiology. Also you can do fellowships in Intervention in Respiratory Medicine or even go into Critical Care.

Sure..resp medicine is an upcoming branch..but usually resp cases are dealt initially by physicians...it's an end speciality..
