its a variant of histiocytosis.
and commonest bone inv in histiocytosis is vertebral column -so i think ans is -lumbar vertebra.

sorry sids .
i checked out in robbins and maheshwari -and no where could i find most common bone involved .
just that commonly involved bones are -femur ,tibia ,spine ,ribs .

pls undo my last ans --till we can get some authentic ans .

in all books they have mentioned spl stress on long bones -medullary cavity .
so it mie be femur.

whats the ans given btw??

Hey Manpreet,

Papa Robbins Pg 685 quotes " Calvaria, ribs and femur" as the commonest site. If we were to follow the sequence, Skull comes out to be the commonest site but it doesnt rule out femur, ,does it ? !!
