Hi sobuj
Having being away from clinical work for some time, it would be advisable for you to take some kind of course to re-familiarise yourself with the basic principles of clinical practice. I would suggest a dedicated 6 months. You may wish to go to the amc website and attempt the mcq test there. With a passing score there you'll do very well with 3 months of dedicated preps.Get started!!

Hi,
i am also returning to medicine after a long period of research- was just wondering about the interchangability of postgradute degrees between Australia and the united kingdom...can you work in Australia if you are a registered with the general medical council in the united kingdom and vice versa??? can you return to united kingdom after becoming a consultant in Australia .... thank you very much for the information, it is very hard to make such important life decisions without adequate information.

No idea Lem. Your research experience and publication might be helpful for an accademic post, does not matter where you did it.
