what about your other step. if you have not passed that within 7 years time period than your first passed step will not be valid and you can retake your exam in dec 2006.

Quick Scroll Retaking USMLE after passing 10.09.07 (1 year ago) #9

I am v sorry to jump into this discussion 2 yrs late. I apologize again. I am in exactly the same situation, and was wondering if you found and answers to this question. I passed the 2 steps in 1997 and was hoping to be able to retake them as I have failed to get into a residency program.I have reread the exemptions to the restriction and it looks like there is no way.

I am not sure whether I have got it right, but, If its more than 7 yrs you last passed your exam, you'll have to retake exam, your previous scores are no longer valid.
Hope this helps.
