A solution contains 1 gm mole of MgSo4 per litre. assuming full ionisation of this compound. calculate the osmotic pressure of the solution (1 mosmole/L conc. is equivalent to 19.3 mmHg osmotic pressure) a)19.3mmHg b)3.86mmHg c)19.300mmHg d)38.600mmHg e)57.900mmHg Answer given here is D Anybody plz explain

I do not know whether it is as simple as this, but I feel it is 1 mmol (milli mole) of MgSO4 and not gm mol. If it is so, then on dissolving in water there are two ionic species, Mg and SO4. Therefore two mosmoles of particles will now exert their osmotic pressures. One mosm exerts 19.3 and therefore two mosm will exert 38.6 mm of Hg.
