i totally agree with dr aditi.....also there is no contraindication for pills( its >40 years nd >35 years with smoking), but risk is high with these high doses pills like mala n nd mala d........moreover she is an educated lady so easier to notuice any complication like bleeding or thread missing.........so iucd shld be the choice.........

we have to keep just two things in our mind
age
well educated
i.e. as nuts says .....
parity is not given....
whether she smokes or not
whether she has pid or not....
by saying this i want to imply that such list can go on and on.....

jitna diya hai usi me se answer dhundhna padta hai ham becharo ko..... icon_smile.gif

i think its mala d,coz they have asked temporary contraception,n iucd is effective for 10years,
mala-N is usually given at phc levels free of cost to uneducated women,

i think this is framed by rahul himself . as said by aditi there is much missing ....still given details and asking only for temporary contarceptive......... may be IUCD is the best considering its advatanges over all...... plzz dont be confused over the word temporary ........all the above are only temporary....... permanent is only sterilisation...i.e tubectomy.....

I think Mala-D is a better answer-agreeing with doctorrakesh...
IUCD is usually not put on a temporary basis... temporary in the sense it is not put for few months..
and the female being educated will be able to take the tablets correctly everyday... icon_smile.gif

IUCD is the best possible answer...
the prime most reason being that IUCD dont require any repeated motivation for contraception .. once IUCD is used there is a little chance of faILURE...the contraception doesnt depend on the way pt uses it... as is the case in other contraceptive methods ... where pearl index also depends on correct method of use of contraceptive....
aLSo its a more common method of interval contraception... if i m not wrong...
