Just want to know whether there are any job prospects in Australia for those wo have cleared PLAB .

Hi!

Yes you can get a job in aus after PLAB . Its preferable that you have atleast 12 months experience in the field you are applying but if your lucky you may get one even with out this. Work exp in UK counts to a certain extent, but the longer you work and have passed other exams like MRCP /MRCS will give you a big chance.

hey guys, well what if u dont have work experience, could you apply through the AON scheme and then start working in Aussie after clearing PLAB2.......then later sit the amc exams ?

Hi Gaffy, sorry to tell you but an AON post requires at least 2 years of postinternship experience. You may want to take at least AMC 1 first before looking for a job in Australia .

from personal exp no matter what your scores are after PLAB 2
if you do not have UK experience they do not consider you

for the aonp after plab2 you would need atleast a years uk experience

or a high score in the AMC1

if anyone knows any differently please let us all know

hi,

PLAB is not recognised, neither is USMLE ...only way u can permanently work as a doctor in OZ is by giving AMC asap ( if ur a fresh grad or a doc with minimal experience, i.e. about 2 yrs) or get into a specialist training programme/or get it assessed by a specialist college ( if u have a PG degree from ur home country)
