which hernia are u refering exactly?
direct or indirect?

whatever it is the basic aim is to reinforce the potential gap after restoring the contents into abd.

one change can be -
that the sup inguinal ring is obliterated -by suturing the tendinous aponeurotic arch to the undersurface of inguinal lig and pubic tubercle.

or -deep inguinal ring is closed by a prosthetic mesh.

ref-love and bailey

most welcome!

bailey quotes that -
the principles of repair are same for both direct and indirect hernias.
with one dif that--

hernial sac is more easily everted in direct as compared to indirect where we generally need sac excision -[neck is narrow in indirect ,thats the reason].

further repair of post wall is the same for both-thats shouldice repair-suturing with pubic tubercle and cord]
or lichenstein repair thats placing mesh over deep ing ring and suturing all over.

I have another answer as well.
Before the surgery Inguinal canal got 4 walls
-Anterior
-posterior
-Superior
-Inferior

But after the surgery canal will get only 3 walls except ANTERIOR, because during the surgery the anterior wall will be fused with posterior wall.

What do you think about this mates ???
