"the preganancy can be detected by tvs approx 14 days after pregnancy detection by serum hcg at 1000 iu/ml


iams says that lowest level of b hcg at which gestation sac is visible during tvs is 2000 iu/ml

b hcg > 2000iu/ml with empty uterine cavity= ectopicpregnancy.
so it should be b

may be they are talking about normal pregnancy (ideally they should have mentions it)
shaw says hcg > 5000 iu is dagnostic for absominal pregnancy.so anything less than that i think we should go for usg to rule or ectopics.
