What is the use of arguement when the answer is not right! Still the injection is given intramuscularly in the gluteus of baby or intravascularly. So all depends on excretion. Pancuronium is excreted both by liver and by kidney (mainly biliary perhaps). And that is why it could either have been amniotic fluid or placental size. But the fetal excretion system is too poor to comment. Could not make out how would hematocrit affect paralysis because the cordocentesis is done mainly for exchange of blood in hemolytic anemia and since RBC do not seem to have any role in pancuronium metabolism except that greater hemolysis may saturate the liver mechanisms for pancuronium excretion? Rest the maternal factors would just come after all this. Lots of journals on this topic but do not have access to them. Anyway sorry for the wrong reply, even I was too doubtful and that is why those two query marks after the reply!
