I cant say the reason why not in tay sach's but:

taysach's has no involment of bone or hepatosplenomegaly.

hence no use of bone marrow aspiration.

gaucher's and the rest manifest as bony dyplasias.

Sandhoff disease a close cousin of taysach's has bony dyplasias and hepatosplenomegaly!!!
