a.blood transfusion

c.immed. thoractomy
d.usg abdomen
e.peritoneal lavage
f.i/costal drainage
g.radigraph chest
h.radiograph abdomen
i.IVU
j.gastroendoscopy
k.cystoscopy
l.ba meal

1. 43 yr old man was kicked in the lower abdomen by his neighbor and presents tp a/e 12 hr later with abdomianal pain and distension. o/e abdomen is rigid ,tender and bowel sounds not heard ?


2. 38 yr old man recieves blunt injury over left upper abdo and dev sev breathlessness. he is pale and pulse 108 /min and bp 80/50 with diminished air entry on right side of chest?

3. 20 yr old man c/o mild difficulty breathing after recieving blunt injury to his abdomen . chest xray shows bowel gas shadows over left side chest ?

1.xray abd...as he is coming after 12hrs so i think we can wait ???

2.intercostal drainage...most likely hemopneumothorax

3.imm. thoracomy...i think its rupture of diaphragm..
