the hypersensitivity reaction involved in hyperacute rejection in kidney transplant is -

1) type I
2) type II
3) type III
4) type IV

of course type II is involved but chandrasoma(lange pub.)3/e p119
says that in hyperacute rejection both TYPE II and III are involved??? icon_confused.gif

what are you guys thinking about it ? type IIorIII???

see robbins 7th edi you will be clear it gives hyperacute in the example of type 2 and if only one answer has to be choosen answer definatley will be type 2.

graft rejection is of many types
- jawetz(lange publi) for micro says of it being mainly three types.
acute
hyper acute
chronic

hyper acute is type 2

acute can be type 2
(may be here comes type 3 also)

chronic is type 4
