why does injury to radial n at wrist not cause wrist drop???

because at the elbow, the motor branch of the radial nerve becomes the posterior interosseous nerve and enters the extensor compartment through the supinator muscle under the arcade of frohse. there it supplies the extensors of wrist thumb and fingers.so the motor supply is not affected if injured at wrist..

correct me if i am wrong ....anyone
