I also need an answer to this question. I have been given various texts to read about the basics of medical Microbiology and the aspects of lab work - but how do these compare to the current exam. Does anyone know if the RCPath offer previous exam papers to buy? with the MRCP it was easy there are lost of books/websites - does the MRCPath have an equivalent?? If not why not??

Hi,

the exam is mcq based and very much based on practical situtations.I referred to greenwoods textbook of medical Microbiology for the exam. Also,it shud be remembered that some topics that v may not pay much attention to during our PG,may be significant in MRCPath (med micro) esp viral origin of diarrhoeas to giv an example.

all the best
