Bergmeister's papilla: 1. a small mass of neuroglial cells in the center of the embryonic optic disk, surrounding the bulb of the hyaloid artery. 2. a congenital anomaly consisting of a glial veil attached to the anterior aspect of the optic disk, resulting from glial proliferation around the remnants of the posterior part of the hyaloid vessel system. from dorlands

Mittendorf's dots: a congenital anomaly manifested as a small gray or white opacity just inferior and nasal to the posterior pole of the lens, representing the remains of the lenticular attachment of the hyaloid artery; it does not affect vision. from dorlands

EPICAPSULAR STARS: These are the remnants left of hyaloid artery causing epicapsular pigmentation of lens.
