I know that moderators can split/move threads started by members. I just would like to know whether or not the moderators inform the author when they do so.
Ideally, any moderator splitting a thread should leave a message at the bottom of the post in italics about the edit reason. If a post is moved, the forum automatically shows a moved link in front of the post.
Do moderators have access to members' account and personal information?
No moderator on RxPG site has any access to any member's account, IP and personal information. Anyways we do not collect any personal information which is not required by us (like real name, age, sex, DOB etc). We only request some personal information like medical college of graduation and course & exam details just to make the site more targeted to your needs. ONLY the administrators have any access to this information. Regarding your passwords, we employ the highest security method of MD5 encryption which means that NO ONE including the administrators or the technical team can see or know your passwords. In simple terms, this system encrypts your password into an incomprehensible string using MD5 encryption technique. This encrypted version is totally foolproof and it is IMPOSSIBLE to decrypt it back to the original password. Our servers store this incomprehensible string in our database. Whenever you login again, your entered password is again encrypted using the same technique and the "incomprehensible string" thus produced is compared to the one that is stored on our server. Thus, this provides a way wherein your password is known only to you and no one else - keeping it 100% secure.
Who can delete any posts or part(s) of any posts sent by any member? and please let me know whether the member is informed of the deletion.
No moderator in RxPG forums has the powers to delete any post. They can only edit the post and provide a reason for editing. They can remove the entire content of the post if it is offensive, but can't delete it. Only administrators can delete a post.
Whenever any cahnge or edit to anypost is made, a reason is usually left on the post. This serves as a public notification of the change/edit and also as a way to inform the poster.
