The field strength of MRI is:

A 5 tesla
B 2.5 tesla
C 10 tesla
D 1 tesla

I think the answer is 2.5 tesla but me nt too sure..pls help! confused.gif

The field strength depends upon type of magnet used. For pemanent magnets the maximum that can be reached is 0.5-0.6 T. For electromagnetic superconductor magnets, Very high fields have been tried, but clinically 1.5 T is being most commonly used these days.
