Help: How to rate RxPG members

Well, the hyperactive RxPG community doesn't cease to inspire our techs. Inspired by the thread started by Nikhil in Offbeat forum, wherein the community is busy selecting Mr & Miss/Mrs RxPG friendly, they have decided to add some little rating buttons on the profile pages of all the users. You can click on the name of any user, go to their profile pages and just click on the stars to vote.
As always, your FEEDBACK

Hi Aditi,
Good question indeed.
In the anonymous online world where everyone is hiding behind idiosyncratic usernames, it can be real difficult to find really helpful people, especially in a community of 15,000+ members on RxPG. Although we are aware that almost all the people who are active on RxPG are really forthcoming with help and do not shy away from carrying on with the traditions of this website. Still, for a newbie, who has just arrived on RxPG, it might be really difficult to find friends, study partners or support in such a large community. By introducing this rating system, we are just trying to make the whole system objective for "lurkers" (who see everything, but do not post anything) and newbies. Moreover, it can be one more criteria for becoming eligible for a moderator position. It will also give positive FEEDBACK
to the members who have been toiling hard on these boards - as they will know that their hard work is being appreciated by masses.
We are developing some more features on this website which will be partially based on these community rankings.
To summarise, it adds a little bit more of fun to this website!

From Technical Team - We are planning to move RxPG code from current php coding to the futuristic web 2.0 standards. This rating code is the first example of such a step. This technology is ultra-fast and being used by internet giants like gmail & [snip]
increasingly. As you can see rating a member on RxPG does not require refreshing the page. This speeds up your browsing speed and interaction with the website. We are presuming that we will introduce such features sitewide in a gradual fashion and won't be left out when the existing web 1.0 will finally evolve to web 2.0.

yeah rxpg thanx for ur attempt to get along nicely wid the advances ....
no way giant community of the sel;ected intellects needs the comparison of y-a-h-o-o or g-m-a-i-l........................
we are already far far ahead of them ...mail is possible here , account is possible here , pm , chatting and now rating and everyother stuff, what those giants can't match(wid rxpg ofcourse)is the selfless desire to excel.... BESIDES THEY DON HAVE THIS SNIP FACILITY , WHICH DINT EVEN LEAVE U....  .......
It's heartening to know the expansion of this community from scratch.....
i wish if more features will add to technical advances and not shadow the compassion for the fellas in the struggle for the desired goals ........
now take time and atleast rate me........
