utane(sevoflurane) as compared to isoflurane n propofol shows shorter time of recovery for some events
maintenance is comparable to isoflurane n enflurane

hi all,

while surfing the web , I found a lot of information on ultane at
Only RxPG members can see links here! Register or Sign In!

It also says its a safe drug and has to be used in combination with other drugs too.
The side effects are few and it wears off once the effects of ultane wears off too.

lack of pungency and sweet smell made it have some role in paediatric Anaesthesia .
it forms toxic compound A with bara lime if i remember correct .
while desflurane forms carbonmonoxide.
they are not that cost effective in the indian scenario.
