this is a very good issue you have raised.i am a AIIMS
undergraduate student and i think we are the one with few others who cannot give our state pg exams and there is no reservation for us in our institute.i think our is the only "institute" that doesnot give any reservation to their students.Yes some of u will ask that you have a reservation but my friends if you come and seethen you will realize what a mockery of that reservartion that is.Out of 30-40 students here all but 5-7 decide to stay in india rest of them go to U S, but the state is such that even if you get a good rank you are not sure of what seat you will get, imagine someone who is from AIIMS
itself and get 8-9 rank doesnot get a seat of his choice in his own institute where he has studied and worked hard in internship.I think no one will mind if 8-10 students of the institute which come in the merit list have the choice of getting a clinical seat, this is open to ur argument. It feels bad that people from JIPMER
and BHU
are enjoying their reservation when there should be none and equality shold prevail. Also is the issue of so many states like delhi and Maharashtra
where a descent or even less that descent student gets a clinical pg in colleges in which students from all over india dream to get in to and work very very hard. I hope some on raises this issue and day come when seats all over india become open and there is no state quota and one with rank in top 100-200 can think of going in to a college that his rank and calibre deserve and not that some one who is in top 100 is doing course with state students who even didnt get a rank in all india pg.
waiting for points and counter points

I too hope the same.............. And the 50 - 50 judgement also raised a ray of hope........... but the decision of AIIMS
"to go back" for "administrative reasons" (Laziness) means that the Supreme Court Judgement will be useless, at least for near future

Bruno,
Well let me clearify it to you that if 25% seats were given this year it was not because of any laziness but because states were not ready to give any of their seats , AIIMS
conducted the exam and prepared the result and before declaring it ,asked the ministry of fam and welfare about the number in list and the mofwf was either not prepared or was lazy or deliberatly allowed the result of only 25% be declared , so AIIMS
is not to be blamed as it had no role.THE REAL CULPRITS are the selfcenterd stae people who have all reservations in their state ( u know which states i am hinting)and want more .So you may ponder on it may be change your opinion on AIIMS
at least on this matter.

I agree that states are not willing, but NO state ACCEPTED THAT..... They just kept mum

Who filed the counter petition in the court ??? MOHFW or AIIMS

Opinion Changed.... AIIMS
is one of the culprits along with MOHFW. No state said that they are not willing to give 50 %..... can you quote at least one press release for that....

By the way..... how to name an institute that conducts a competitive exam with 300 questions for few and 292 questions for few and 280 questions for few....
1. What were the marks obtained by the candidates
2. Were the questions valued or omitted

Well you have made your point, but your opinion seems to be very baised against AIIMS
. Well there are few questions hope you could answer-
Why do we not have a second counselling in allindia pg?
who benifits from the seats who were not confirmed?
why do states give even less than 25% seats clinical wise?
why were safdarjung seats not given this year and latter given to delhi and that too 100%?
Listen i am not interested in arguing and giving points counterpoints but what i feel is that states want their students to get a seat and mohwf doesnt want to interfere in it much and doesnt want to take a concrete step otherwise why doesnt it hold a second councelling and why doesnt it lay strict guidlines about number of seats alloted and then recheck it.
And about AIIMS
,its not responsible for 25%seats being alloted, it has no personal gain as an institute,it will do whatever the mofwf directs, and about 280-290 questions i think people should sue AIIMS
for that as it cannt be so irresponsible to be so casual and playing with peoples life.
