We are able to access such a nice website only with the help of INTERNET. Everybody uses different access methods for internet. If there is facility of multiple access methods then cost and speed may be different.

I am using GPRS enabled handset (k500i) for Internet access and it's connected to P.C. with data cable.With data cable comes driver (in CD)for modem as mobile is working as modem here.
I have to pay 299 Rs. for whole month unlimited.
Speed is variable from below average to moderate.
I think sharing the internet access choices will be helpful for those who have option to choose from many service providers.
This thread should be helpful for those members also who are accessing through cyber cafe off and on and are waiting for home internet but don't know how to get it and cost of getting it.

The Cheapest and the best will be Broadband - Data One.

Other than that Reliance Mobile or BSNL Mobile is cheaper as well as reliable

Please mention exact cost so that it will be easy to make choice.
I bought Sony Ericssion k500i mobile -- 8800 Rs ( now price is around 7800)
Airtel GPRS Connection -- 299 per month ( 99 / mth in initial 2 months )
Data cable -- 200 Rs
Motorola's lower cost GPRS sets (like c-350) will also do and so are the samsung's X-640 etc.My experience is that you don't opt infrared method, it will be just a headache.

(Note: This is not as advertisement but it's for the guidance for those who want to install and for choice for those who are already using some service )

Wireless::
If u just want "unlimited" connxn then Airtel is d best..
But speeds wud b pathetic- 33.6Kbps??? My Dialup Modem was faster!!
SO if speed is also an issue, then Reliance Fixed Wireless or Reliance Mobile is good... Decently fast- Usually >128Kbps...
Tariffs:

Cabled Access::
Again Airtel wins;in speed,reliability & tariffs.. Only downer is availibility...
Also BSNL or MTNL is grt, coz they r pretty much avlbl everywhere...!

Well, as far as speed is concerned my airtel connection has 115.2 Kbps and moreover I don't have any other choice. Hutch's GPRS works only in mobile and BSNL doesn't have unlimited offer. Speed is like when I open rxpgonline homepage it takes 15 seconds in good times and about 2-3 minutes when speed is slow one.

HI

could some one help me ...

im having a dell laptop (insipiron 630 m) with blue tooth facility

my phone is 6600.....what do u think is the best option for me...does the speed depend on the mobile model? 6600 doesnt have a data cable..... so is blue tooth enough? will it effect the speed?

i m thinking of a combination of 6600 and airtel via bluetooth...

please advice
