deepsi i cannot reply in detail bcos there are many factors on vich ur expenditure depends like
1>usually visa fees is approx 4400+2200(consulate fees only) which may vary like if u r consultancy for the same or preparing ur file by urself. preparing ur file is again a big problem which includes ur all doc right from ur qualification doc, bank statements, declaring ur (or ur parents) estate, getting transcript (imp as u ve to ay mbbs bond if u r bonded student). for all this u'll have 2 work accordingly. u may consulte ur tax consultant for the same.

again if u r reaplying then u wud have to repay a part of consulate fees.
2>accomodation again depends in which state u r going for cs as there are some places like NY which is very expensive. on an avg it may vary from 150$ to 800$ per month. again this will be minimum if u r stayin at ur relative's place. Also some transportation charges as i think cs is not given in every state.
3>the minimum time u intend to stay in us.
4>air fare -sorry no idea, but m sure u can manage with that.

so ur answer connot be repiled in perfect digits. u ll have 2 calculate each matter individually and then add it up. so this u only can do it.

pls correct me if i m wrong.
bye

Deepsi, don't ignore the fact that a big expenditure awaits u after clearing Step 2CS. this includes:
* Applying to various residency slots, i'v been told only application fees is around $25 per program. So if u apply for 40 odd program, its $1000.
* U gotta make multiple phone calls to US per program
* U gotta stay in US for a while during interviews
* U gotta travel to multiple places to appear for interviews
* Plus d various USMLE study material/online tests etc costs runs in thousands at least if not more.

These all myt be small indivdually but in all they add up substantially. Well this is d info i cud gather. I maybe ill informed on certain point but not totally. icon_smile.gif icon_smile.gif

Well sravya i'm in d same boat as yours. In fact, i decided 2 take mle recently. So i'm tryin 2 gather as much info as i can so i'd be better prepared 2 face it.

So, i put forth what additional i know. Lets keep on sharing all d info we guys have. That'll help us all.
I've been told, if u join Kaplan study centre, it costs around Rs. 60,000 per step. Online mock tests cost around $150-$300 depending on period and contents.

Gud luck
