READ YOUR BOOKS THROUGHLY .

dont ignore your clinicals

proffs are a stepping stones towards pg entrance.
everytime i see people asking whether to study pro or retrograde.this question wont arise if u have been sincere in ur prof days.ur book will already be marked.ina way u yourself would have framed a lot of q&a thisway.

its diff to do MCQS solidly until&unless u have the big picture of the disease.

SORRY BUT I HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION

IT HARDLY MATTER WHAT WERE UR PROFFS RESULTS IF U R NOT SELECTED IN PPG

READ STD TEXT BOOKS

MARK THEM FIRST[TAKE BOOKS FM UR SENIORS WHO ARE PREPRING FOR PPG AND MARK UR BOOK WITH HIGHLIGHTER] EVEN BEFORE READING IT

THEN READ IT WITH CONCEPTS

I STARED MY PREPARATION WHEN I WAS IN 2nd YR

STUDY DAILY FOR 4 HR

sorry ora i have a bit different opinion
even if oyu r selected one year late in pg its ok
but your clinical knowledge shud be sound

i think neha at this stage you shud see as many clinical cases as you can and read about them.bcos the way you see cases at this stage and the way those are discussed by professors,it wont be done at any other stage thereafter.
and morover nowdays the trend for pg entrances is changing fast day by day so its better to start the prep in internship only
this is my pt of view

i think , read the subjects which r not red by others !
specialy read skin , Psychiatry , Anaesthesia , radiology and genetics well ... dont ignore these subjects coz it needs lot of time later if u skip it in UG.
Try to revise biochem and anat coz after 4 years a lot of dust accumulate on it , and u have to start from A B C D ..
buy mudit and ashish books , and try to read mcqs from 3rd year subs.,.
best luck !
it seems very energetic and cheerful to start from the 3rd year !
just a blank canvas waiting to be painted , and play with the colors from 3rd years , it becomes easy to paint ur dream later ! icon_biggrin.gif
keep rocking!

my bit...keep track of what they call the TREND... the stress on a few topics, questions from which r usually repeated. They select a topic...start with easy q's...& go on increasing the difficulty level as each yr passes by. best eg for this wld b hematology in AI & AIIMS . check hw they started with simpler q's in leukemia & ended up with CD counts (which I never thought were imp when i was an undergrad).

All d best!

I think i totally agree with Ora bout marking the book. but why to ignore clinical. u hv lotz of time in ward duty to concentrate bout that.

Also trinity is right bout TRENDS...u hv to hv an eye for that.

I would suggest, First. solve 1st mbbs subjects by /mudit n ashish....Read Robbins n Harrison as much as u can.....never ignore ur class studies,,it makes an imprint when profs says something in classroom.....

Discuss with ur seniors about questions/topics u dont understand. They will give u some wonderful tips to remember it

All the Best..May force be with U..
