Enteric isolation of patients at risk is recommended. Treatment of asymptomatic carriers is not recommended because treatment may prolong carriage, which usually resolves spontaneously.

Pseudomembraneous colitis is a complication of antibiotic therapy mainly ampicillin.
It is rare in infants less than 12 months.
It is caused by clostradium difficile which release powerful toxin(endotoxin)which then causes the symptoms.
The tretment is usually metronedazol and vancomycin also used.
So answer is 5

yes, there are some antibio's that causes PMcolitis, but another things - > it is treated with antibiotics also, but must withdraw the causative ones, to prevent that must got probiotics (lcato/bifidum bacterium with antibio's ) they are widely avaible in Yoghourts, etc.

Hospital acqiured outbreaks are well known with antibioyic associated diarrhoes.They are caused by clostridium difficle. The spectrum of disease ranges from antibiotic induced diarrhoes which cud be mild to antibiotic associated colitis to the very severe form of Pseudomembranous colitis.

the management mainly includes fluid electrolyte balance,stoppage of the incriminating antimicrobial agent and for severe cases oral metronidazole and vancomycin.
