what does this q mean????


Sampling in a village of 200 houses of 1000 population to screen 100 persons is best taken:

b.selec every 5th person
c.select every 10th person
d.selec randomly any 100 from a random chart

Has WHO recoommmended the discontinuation of TAB vaccine..???????

it is likely to be D if savlon can be stored ina metal cup.

Random table method is best and free from bias.

Birth Rate is 30/1000. That means in a year there are going to be 30*5 = 150 births.

Now, IMR = 100/1000 live births. Here we have 150 live births. That means number of infant deaths = 150*0.1 = 15 deaths.

Therefore, we are left with 150-15 = 135 children to vaccinate against measles. Since the wastage is 50%, we will have to multiple the figure by 2. Note here that Measles is given only once. Hence, no. of measles doses required = 135*1*2 = 270 doses.

All the gurus, please correct me if I am wrong on that.

As for TAB Vaccine, WHO has recommended its discontinuation (Ref : Park Page 189).

I don't know the answer for the Sampling question.

Question about those disinfectants seems to be print mistake or something like that.
