how much fsmb take for step 3 result?
is there anyway i can guess when my score is reported just like oasis trick?

hi
fsmb takes 3 weeks to give s3 result if you give a US address, else add postal time for other countries.
not sure about oasis trick eqvt. will let you know if i find anything about it.

Time for Step 3

im giving CS in nov..........havent got visa yet............in oct will go for interview.
and i want to give step 3 in the same trip..........
i wanted to ask if i have my CS result by nov end.....how much time it takes to be eligible to take Step 3.
i mean is there any paperwork allowed..............do i have to wait for ECFMG certificate or i can apply directly after CS result. the application for step 3 takes 1 month if i have US address......so is just this 1 month i need or some xtra time????
kindly help
step 1, 2CK passed, docs verified( i think)

Hey medisid, you do require ECFMG certification to apply for step 3. step 2cs passed alone is not a sufficient requirement. And if you are giving your exam Nov, it is very unlikely that the result will be out in the same month. check the ecfmg for exact dates of publishing CS results. Take into account 7 days for issuing of ECFMG certificate plus 4 weeks for processing and delivery of scheduling permit to a US address..My guess is tht you wont be able to give your step 3 before Jan. But i guess tht should be good enough. Good luck

one typically receives the ECFMG certificate within 2 weeks of the CS result. it is possible to apply simultaneously for step3 while you wait for your ECFMG certificate.
the fsmb issues an online scheduling permit for step3 since december, 2006. so the postal delay is also avoided. the application is processed within 2 weeks.

the step3 result includes percentile scores.
however only passing is mandatory for the state licensure.
the percentile score are important when one applies for competitive fellowship programs.
