hi,

My visa is expiring in mids of january ,that is till the date i have an attachment.I have applied for my MRCOG exams in march,but havent recieved any acknowdlegemnt from them as yet.

Please guide me,-- should i go and get visa extended from India or should i get it from here?Give me an honest opinion as to what i should do,coz i don hav ne othr attchmnts in hand after the jan one..

The MRCOG exam booking would help... but you need to have clinical attachments too... to extend your PLAB visit visa
Going to India won't help much unless you have Clinical attachments.
Also ... even in India they are known to give only short term visa's!

I can only suggest that you try and get a honorary post OR a Locum....
Though the Honorary post won't get you a PFT... it will get you GMC registration and a visitor visa extention.
A locum letter saying that you have locum for more than 3 months would get you a Dean's letter and PFT subsequently.
If you have a Locum, GMC letter and Deans letter you can get PFT from India. With honorary post and GMC reg they would happily give you a Visitors visa.

Or else you can atleast get a extention of your clinical attachment.

nice cin ya aftr so long.sorry hav no idea as to wat visa u shud apply for.
Situation is same here. its nt getin ne matter.Thnk n rethink if u want to cme n y don u try for MD posts bk home ?jus a suggestion,its entirely upto u to decide.
