NOW-A-DAYS THE NEW INDICATOR P.Q.L.I.[ PHYSICAL QUALIT OF LIFE INDEX] IS GETTING SOME GREAT IMPORTANCES.
INTERESTINGLY, IT DOES NOT COMPROMISE OF PER CAPITA INCOME AS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FOR INDICATORS IN MID 90S.
HOWEVER,THE P.Q.L.I. COMPRISES OF:
1.INFANT MORTALITY RATE.
2.LIFE EXPENTANCY AT AGE ONE.
3.LITERACY RATE.
IT'S NO WONDER THAT EVEN SRI-LANKA IS AT BETTER PLACE THAN INDIA IN TERMS OF P.Q.L.I.
