This thread is being introduced as a central reference point for listing all high yield topics for USMLE Step 1. As you study and appear for step 1, you realise that mastering some specific topics can increase your output several fold. After giving the exam, you might also realise that having the right list of topics to study is much more important than working hard. In fact it is possible to boost your score into top most percentiles by focussing only on these high yield topics. This thread is for you all to create and share the list of high yield topics in USMLE step 1 with community help.

it is a good idea! let me start with my short list

Anatomy : testicular cancer, prostate cancer, crush injury to different parts of the elbow, arms, hands; abdomen, GU

Biochemistry : carbohydrate/lipid metabolism, metabolic disorders

Immunology: Pathophysiology of Human Disease, common immunodeficiency stuff, bigtime cytokines, Anatomy of the lymph node and spleen, basic relationships between B & T cells.

Pharm: sympathomimetics

Biostatistics : sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values

i'm feeling difficulty in remembering immunology icon_sad.gif !though it is fun reading and understanding immunology icon_smile.gif i'm feeling diifff in remembering that icon_confused.gif ( i'm a poor memorizer and by hearter too icon_rolleyes.gif ) some one plz specify high yield topics in immunology !

do i need to remember that markers on each and everysubset of cells?
how much % of USMLE step 1 comes from immunology icon_question.gif ( yeah i know it will vary but still icon_exclaim.gif
