For every exam you always get this Nagging
doubt regarding the right study material and books. We hope that this thread, which is meant to share your book list for PLAB
part 2 openly, will help you curb this doubt a bit. Moreover, you will also know about the books majority of "junta" is relying upon. Remember, this thread and the concept behind it can only be successful with everyone's involvement...so please post a brief list of books you are using to crack PLAB
part 2.
Some Rules for Posting in This Thread
1. Mention only the popular names (authors/book's) of the books. There is no requirement to type in all the details of the books although if you can add the pros and cons of the books, it will help.
2. Keep your list as objective as possible.
Start compiling this list now...

so far i am reading only london PLAB
book, its good, has good explanations and the text and language is simple.
what it lacks is illustrations, which i think are a must for some topics!!!
i have heard seven sisters is good too(but it wasnt available in the book shops here)
then i am revising my oxford medical handbook anda my clinical manuals.
last but not the least is the OSCE
BUSTERS(its not a book i know but its just too good incase you have doubts after reading a book u can just log on and look for that topic n post ur doubt).
it is wonderfull, interactive and we have senior plabbers who have vast experience which we all can benefit from!!!
thanks rxpg this is definitly a nice thread!!!

1. London PLAB
book - very good book, loads of info, may not be very organised at times.
2. A - Z Handbook for PLAB
- some of the counselling stations are quite good here.
3. Seven Sisters material - if anyone needs this material please let me know...
4. For the Examinations - you can go through Macleod's Clinical Examination
5. OSCE
busters in the RxPG forum
6. I have seen the Birmingham DVDs and they are quite good...... didnt have them personally
But if you supplement these with a good course and lots of practice with a suitable study partner.... You will conquer the PLAB

Well, London PLAB
is one book which is really good, but with the changing scenarios of the PLAB
2 stations with every passing exam, I think its better to use any book to get a general idea of the stations.
Jyoti Kulkarni, esp 1st few chapters are real good and worth reading.
Seven Sisters is good and very exhaustive;
However, PLAB
2 is not an exam which can be mastered thru any book. Most stations mentioned in these books are 'twisted' in the real exam. A good coaching and practice is most important for this exam.
U gotta aware of the latest trends in the stations which no book can tell u perfectly...and nothing can substitute good practice and attempting mock-tests.

Right now i am reading LONDON PLAB
and i find it very good becoz of its simple language and also coz it covers a wide range of topics usually asked in OSCE
. I also have with me JYOTI KULKARNI wich i have not gone through. The Handbook which made me run into many bookshops to get it was OSCE
by UNA COALES which is mentioned in the GMC website. Well i think with this three books and a good course we can pass part2 with flying colors..
