hi doctors i have question in parasitology........ i hope you answer it . i heard from my friend ......... in bilharzias the dead ova are responsible for formation of sandy patches and the living ova are responsible for polyp formation so in s. hematobium there are few living ova and alot of dead ova so there are many sandy patches and few polyp formation and the opposite is true regarding of s. mansoni

is it right? and if it is right what is the reason of being alot of dead ova and few living ova in s. hematobium and the opposite in mansoni?

Dont know the exact answer,but..........

I'll try.............

S.haematobium lives in the vesical plexus and appears in urin so it may get killed in da process,
Conversaly da S.mansonii resides in the intestinal plexus so it may be left undead ???????? icon_question.gif
