widal bcos respiratory complications are a late manifestations in typhoid b4 tht only pt will come with primary manifestations.
acc to the ques when nothing else is mentined like the duration of fever and pharyngitis and any other manifestations.there is no need to rue out typhoid.
we can exclude other choices v clearly
aso to rule out strep infec
thr swwab for specificity of antibiotic
chest x ray as ph can lead to lower resp tr infectin too
i am not sure may be i am wrong
