The Right umbilical vein disappears. The LEFT vein is LEFT behind which later develops into ligamentum teres.

i am sorry i donot agree with you

The obliterated right umbilical vein is present in the right medial umbilical fold accompanying the obliterated right umbilical artery. The obliterated vein is attached from the umbilicus to the right internal iliac vein.
The left obliterated umbilical artery is present in the left medial umbilical fold alone since the left obliterated umbilical vein does not desend and remains attached to the left branch of the portal vein.

the umblical folds are 5 small peritoneal elevations presnt on the inner aspect of the anterior abdominal wall bellow the umbilicus. The median umbilical fold contain the obliterated urachus, the medial umbilical fold contains bliterated umbilical artery on both sides and only one obliterated umbilical vein on the right side and lastly the lateral umbilical folds contain the inferior epigastric artery on both sides. The folds radiate donwards from the umbilicus.
