i think the ans is superior oblique
inoreder to move downward from abducted position the movt required by eyeball is downward and intortion. which r the functions of sup obl.
on seeing the ques confusion arises b/w inf rectus and sup obl bcos these are the 2 muscles causing downward movt but we can rule out inf rectus as it causes extortion
if this ques were to move from adducted position to downward pos the ans becomes inferior rectus.
as from adducted to downward we require downward and extortion
hope its clear

ans given is B. inferior rectus muscle

and the answer is not wrong.

but I could not get the funda.
can somebody explain this?

it shud be internal rectus only..

with superior oblique we see down towards the nose when the eye is adducted....
