ALL OF THE FOLLOWING THERAPIES MAY BE REQUIRED IN A 1 YEAR OLD INFANT WITH SEVERE BIRH ASPHYXIA EXCEPT:
a.GLUCOSE.
b.DEXAMETHASONE.
c.CALCIUM GLUCONATE.
d.NORMAL SALINE.
MUDIT KHANNA SAYS:ANSWER IS DEXAMETHASONE AS PER FRANKSHANN & JOHN VINCE.
BUT "RUODOLPH'S Paediatrics {20TH EDITION,PAGE239 & 1841}"VERY CLEARLY STATES:THAT HYPERGLYCEMIA IS REALLY VERY DANGEROUS FOR NEWBORN.SO THE CONFUSION ARISES.IS IT GLUCOSE???
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION[AIPGME2005]!!!!!!!!!!!
