In an acute condition Allpurinol isnt going to help relieve the pain..Aspirin can cause uric acid retention ...so C.Colchicine is best

well it's osteoarthritis and nsaids and acetaminophen are the DOC....

estrogen may prevent the progression in post menopausal females ....

and absolutely it's not the gout arthritis hence the medications used here shud ber for OSTEOARTHRITIS.... which is a degenerative disease only hence refute the other options available

glucosamine and chrondroitin sulphate are the other novle drugs available

hence my choice b) aspirin...

hi,

my vote for aspirin.

as far as colchicine is considered even in acute attack of gout its use has declined very much becoz of safer alternatives like nsaids.
