it is hyperplasia of pancreatic cells..

Insulinomas & persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia of infancy(nesidioblastosis) produce symptomatic hyoglycemia.. Massive subtotal or total pancreatectomy is treatment of choice whin medical treatment fails.. These children develop pancreatic insufficiency & diabetes as a complication of treatment..

Nesidioblastosis is also seen in Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome..
