for a listing.

About funding.. yeah it is very difficult to get funding for mph, but most people manage partial waivers and on-campus jobs by the end of the first term..... also if u know some seniors at the univ, it might help..

All the best

hi sybarite..
am aiming for mph in fall 2007...
GRE score of 1420 (710v+710q+5 ana)
TOEFL score of 290
academic % 65
no research exp and no extraciricular activities...
so which univ's should i target for securing I20's?
is there any chance to boost my cv by means of a short term reasearch stints?
and is the chances of getting a F1 from chennai as bad as they sound?
neway thanx

hi federer.....

those are very good scores.... congrats!
look thro the individual univs listed at
Only RxPG members can see links here! Register or Sign In!

u could also look thro the us news for mph univ rankings...

make ur decision based on the cost factors, the nature of the course, ranking and geographical location.... amongst other things...

short term research would definately be a plus point in securing admits as well as assitantships....

@ the chennai consulate.... since u already have awesome scores, if ur financials r in order and u speak well... i dont see why u wudnt get the visa..

good luck!!

but could i ask u, wht are the opportunities i have got for some short term research... studying in a not-so-urban medical college, i have not had many opportunities so far for research, and i dont have any idea where i can get a chance for short term research....
