Q 46 the treatment of respiratory diseases.
Options A erythromycin B tetracycline C flucloxacillin D benzylpenicillin E cefotaxime F prednisolone G rifampicin, isoniazid, pyridoxine, and ethambutol H isoniazid alone I cotrimoxazole J salbutamol inhaler K ciprofloxacin.
1. A 20 y/o woman presents with a wk’s h/o fever, rigors, and productive , rusty cough. The x-ray shows a left lower lobe consolidation.
2. A 12 y/o boy with cystic fibrosis presents with a persistent productive cough. The x-ray shows a spherical shadow containing a central lucency. And air-filled level is also seen.
3. A 50 y/o man presents with shortness of breath and dry cough. The x-ray shows wide-spread pulmonary shadowing. He takes azathioprine for sesistant rheumatoid arthritis.
4. A 20 y/o female presents with malaise, cough and progressive shortness of breath. The x-ray shows symmetrical lobulated bilateral hilar gland enlargement.
5. A 50 y/o diabetic presents with a productive cough and malaise. The x-ray shows right upper lobe consolidation and hilar lymphadenopathy.
