traumatic perforation is irregular and a/w ossicular discontinuity

Small perforations - heal in 6- 8wks

Rx - same as that of ASOM - Antibiotics ear drops . If therez purulent discharge - go for systemic antibiotics.In case of head injury ear drops are not advised.Also avoid ear drops containing alcohol or acid

If it doesnt heal with the above treatment - myringoplasty or tympanoplasty

angiofibroma as typical presentation is recurrent epistaxis with a mass and nasal polyps are not common in children under 10yrs unless assc with cystic fibrosis
