I am one of the unfortunate guys who seems to be having a spell of bad luck in everything. I came to the UK in Aug 2005, passed PLAB and could get a clinical attachment in NOV 05 only.
I had the privilege of being shortlisted not once but twice at the place where I was doing my attachment. But i was not selected.
Then I took the MRCP 2 in Dec 2005 and i did not succeed.....failed by 0.4% or simply one question! Thats real bad luck at my stage. Friends told me that I ought to have taken a prep course(i didn't).
So what should be the advice :
Should I go for it again in April 2006? does it give any advantage for job prospects as SHO? i do not have one yet.
What courses or books should I read? (keeping in mind that i am financially restrained)
Any other Ideas?
