Hi there to all

i'm new to this site and i dont know why i'm writing my thoughts but i guess sharing is important with others who have my same mysery , dear all , i graduated last year and still didnt make a move for the exams, i was jumpinng from amc to PLAB to nzrex to mcee and finally USMLE !

i guess why we all try so hard to study these exams is (TO GET OUT OF OUR MISRABLE REALITY ) i dont think its the study or speciality and few of those who get a permenant position return becoz we are all desperate to run away from our countries ,Why? becoz simply you cant provide a descent life to live and we have studied for so long that we cant do another job

in the past 2 weeks i red alot of threds all over the site ,Australia ,canda,britaing.....ect and it seems that everybody is facing hard times , , , , i know guys its tough and i'm sure it wont be the end for me or you as the finishing of those exams is only the start as we will have to give a double than others to proove ourselfes and we will face racialist doctors too?its not paradise BUT STILL BETTER THAN OUR OWN LIFES IN OUR COUNTRIES . its not only the money i'm sure many of you will be satisfied if they make 10% at there own countries but its not all about the money its the mysery and chaose

i know a wrote a boring speech but i liked to share my ideas with all of you guys and i guess after aloooong study that USMLE is the best choice although costy but at the end america offers the highest number of jobs in comparisom to the others like britain

so i will go for it and i hope we could all help eachother here to reach our final go and start to build our future

yes we r all travelling in same boat !i have undergone the same dilemma as u r in now . i dont know were u r from! but i'm from Andhra n i got very meagre options apart from states pg exam, after graduation like pgi chandigarh n USMLE . USMLE is the only option for me too( considering the job situation in britain)!u r welcome here buddy!

this is the coolest n most cooperative site!there r very friendly pple here!

each has one"s own reason to think about going abroad.i wont be able to enjoy life here as much i would want to,little night life(urs truly lives for the night),little adventure if any,hatred for sarkari babus among other things, & india is special & unique in a lot of senses(its not jus a filthy poor place "some" ppl make it out to be).

didnt want to offend u or anything just that how u speak of your homeland might offend some other people.

why o why did ecfmg stop taking TOELF as a part of USMLE exam porcess!

it would have taken more than a few people out of the competition!

I agree one hundred person that India is a special place ..and it gives us a unique and varied persepctive . Its certainly not a filthy poor misaerable place.But what it has to offer us at this stage of our careers might be limited.Each person wants different things from life..and different things appeal to them for differnt reasons.Same goes for USMLE .

But arihant ..do u have to be so hard on cooldoc ! Its only grammar..just like u said..india is special in its own way..and that cooldoc's views may offend sum people..isnt ur pinpointing his errors gonna offend cooldoc ?He's just posting his expereinece here ..He dusnt need perfect grammar as long as he conveyed the message. I mean..everyone is not born with the opportunity to learn perfect english. If those are not typos..all the more reason for us to not get rude with him.

Now plz dont fly at me..I really dont want to offend u or anything...I agree with ur views most of the time..and appreciate ur fab sense of humour .but I felt I had to stand up for someone who is obviously looking for some support but got ridiculed instead .I can identify with cooldoc in some ways..the choice is not clear for everyone from the word go..I settled on USMLE after a lot of confusion and thinking as well.And appreciate how difficult it can be.The process of making ur final decision..throwing in the gauntlet and sticking to it thru thick and thin

Welcome cooldoc..u'll need lot of preseverence on the road to MLE .This site will sort of see u thru it.Arihant included ofcourse

i understood what u wanted to say.
and believe me we all have speculated and introspected and retrospected and wat not before putting all our money(literally!) on USMLE .
but plz dont say "its the only option left" personally i think thts the worst approach to any exam.
If ur hearts not in it.Leave it and go for aipg.The situation of aipg is not as abyssymal ast it seems.Its imp to decide this now, or ull crib for the rest of ur life.

y ru so rude to cooldoc? i'm sorry to tell u this but this is not the way to deal with codoctors r friends, i don wanna teach u manners but still i prefer to tell u that dont hurt others who need help r support! , i think he is in dilemma abt his future planz r depressed abt future. i guess we have been in the same state at one point r other after our internship.lets guide him r if not atleast we can hear to his problems !

i was just pissed off at "miserable & chaotic & poor" home country thing than anything else.
but i should have communicated that in a better manner i guess.

i too was confused like u bout the choices,in fact i have even gone all the way to sydney & passed amc part1!
