List: How is MD/MS/Diploma in Your MedicalCollege?

Hi everyone,
With the declaration of AIPGE
exam results, everyone who has their name on the list is now researching about the best PG seat they can take for their rank.
We are starting this thread as an experiment and inviting everyone to say a few words about the MD/MS/Diploma in various subjects their college. We are hoping that with everyone's contribution we can build a database of most of the seats all over India. This is a perfect opportunity to "harness collective intelligence and pooling the information" from the large community we have here at RxPG. If this thread is successful, we can take on other branches as well in new threads.
We are requesting everyone who has done a posting (internship, final year) in edicine department in their college to say a few words about that seat.
Rules for posting in this thread
1. Specify the seat, college name and place.
2. Tell couple of plus points about doing MD/MS/Diploma from there.
3. Tell couple of disadvantages.
4. Information about stipend, if known.
5. MOST IMPORTANT: Please limit to one seat per post. If you want to review both MD medicine and MS surgery, please make two posts with each covering one specialty. This is for ease of management of your reviews.
Once you are done with posting your review in this thread, someone from our staff will have a look at it and will split it as a seperate post and move in appropriate place to feature on the central list here:

its unlikely that your college is oldest.as far as i know the oldest college in Asia (and of course in India) is medical college kolkata estd 1835.and i can assure u that this is the only thing this college can boast of coz it has detiorated to the worst college in india(may be in asia too!!)

i have done internship in jj and if u get posted in gt or st george its pure crap,jj is good but the amount of cases and exposure is definitewly better in bj

hii guys .. excellent work ...but y limit oursleves only 2 gen med .. it would b gr8 if all u guys could cover the other branches as well .. especially the surgical branches ..
well comin 2 my coll .. im frm a pvt med coll in bangalore whic doesnt come under all ind quota .. tryin 2 gather some info abt govt med coll in karnataka .. will post as soon as i get any info ..

Thanks, we will await the information from you. Anyways, being in a private medical college does not limit you from sharing the information about MD Medicine in your college. It might be useful for someone.

hi dear maddoc,
its a real courageous effort on ur behalf the way u elaborated about ur medical college......
u need to be really frustrated ...
to write such kind of a truth...
But my friend thats the case with almost all private colleges...
nyways hats off to ur effort..
wish these MCI guys read about such colleges

nice to know some acyually read wat i wrote
i just let out one worm, when there are lots lying there
its so much of injustice, about which we couldnt do anything
as students. but now i guess i should at least give others
the opportunity to see wats coming if they ever happen to
choose this college even out of sheer desperacy. we r a bunch
of friends who hate our college( though not
our batch) and r very out spoken about it . one way i shold thank my
college 4it gave us the strenght as to work as hard as
possible n get into a good govt college at least 4 the pg.
