either one who has asked such a question(u r professor) and one who is trying to answer (me) is a nut ....

this is my version of it.....

DOCTORS DISEASE
* SURGEONS DISEASE -- remove appendix for every abdominal pain!

* MEDICOS DISEASE --- getting all the books xeroxed (in every subject)and not reading any...

* PHYSICIANS DISEASE ---to admit every normal pt and start iv fluids ...or throbolyse every case of chest pain (regardless of ecg-could be angina or myalgia) in a icu setup and monitoring....and careful enough not to admit sick and troublesome pts....

obstreticians disease- cesar for every delivery citing fetal distress as the reason...

ENT `S disease- to do septal resection even for normal and non-deviated septum....

neurologist desease- do to ct scan or mri spine for every case of headache and lowbackache for cuts....

gastroenterologist disease- to do both upper gi scopy and colonoscopy with biopsy for every pt visiting them...

cardiologist disease- do angiogram and cabg for each pt aged more than 40...

THIS IS THE SAD REALITY OF OUR PROFESSION IN INDIA....PEOPLE ARE LITERALLY DYING BECAUSE OF THESE DOCTOR`S DISEASE THAN THE DISEASE ITSELF....AND THEY SELL OUT ALL THEIR LAND AND ANIMALS TO THEIR LAST PENNY TO PAY FOR THESE DOCS DISEASE....ONLY TO DIE OF DISEASE UNDIAGNOSED ,UNTREATED OR IMPROPERLY TREATED OR WRONG REASSURANCE OR PROCEDURE RELATED MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY....who are to be blamed?

Hey boss, I know you since long on this forum.... You have always been a source of inspiration... Surely things would change and if not then why should we??? May be someday sometime things would look up!! And surely that day is not far.... because it is darkest before dawn..... our duty is to keep fighting!!!

Kind regards!! icon_biggrin.gif
