Quick Scroll visa timing 02.21.06 (2 years ago) #1

hi all,

i've heard that it is good to take cs in nov-dec and apply for a visa accordingly, so that i can take my interviews in the same visit. can anyone give me details about this?

i also have a couple of doubts about the application for visa itself:

1) when i apply for cs exam visa will taking a job improve chances of my getting a visa? i heard a job contract / employers letter is a useful document. i'm currently studying full time & i might need to take a job just for this.

2) do i have to enter the US at the same city as my exam center or can i enter anywhere else (i have relatives elsewhere. i was advised not to declare relatives on the visa application form)?

3)if its a multiple entry visa i get, can i re-enter later for my step 3/interviews, without going thru another visa interview in india?

any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance!

dsha

hey i thought i'd post some info to help out those who have the same dilemmas.

here's what i found.

having a job contract as proof of return intent is useful, not foolproof. cs letter by itself may be sufficient, as in the case of my friends.
if its a multilple entry visa one can re-enter at a later date without having to go thru interview in india. one would need to show reason of visit at port of entry. port of entry into US need not be exam center. the reason for different port of entry can be explained on the spot.

anyone with similar questions/ who has gone thru the experience, plz post your info!

ciao
