hii rxpg ..
i was wonderin if u guys could create a chat room .. v guys could chat n discuss their problems n success ... wouldnt tht b gr8 ..

well .. on the other hand .. if ppl could share their [snip] ids .. maybe v can do some conferencin on [snip] .. guys give me ur views on this ...

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. This issue has been debated many times in this site. Although chat is some ways more powerful than forum communication, it does not fit well with the purpose people are on this website. A chat provides kind of "instant gratification" and can only benefit the people who are logged in at the time of discussion. Whereas a forum benefits not only the current users of the system, but also the people who join it in future. It also provides more flexibility in discussions (people can discuss stuff at leisure and there are no commitments to be online at same time). Also discussions are of better quality in forums rather than chat. Community building and management is better with forum rather than chat.

We have top end technology for chatting and do give access to chat rooms to some users at times when they have to talk to our team about technical problems or other issues. But this is limited to only 'user to team' type communications.

There will never be a chat room on RxPG in accordance with these principles and policies. The need for instant minor communication is been taken care by the RxPG messenger and you are welcome to share/discuss everything else in forums!


Note: Sharing email ids or other messnger ids is strictly prohibited in forums

Totally agree with team, the messanger is already enough for all such discussions...am afraid anything more than that might be associated with questionable motives.
